July 20, 2008, Chapter Eight - Grenada to Venezuela Gypsy Blues, Mustang Sally and Sophisticated Lady all arrived within a few days of each other and we are anchored in Prickly Bay a large lagoon with clean water surrounded by marinas. The weather for the next few days will be squally with winds 30+ and waves 10-12 feet. A lot of boats are waiting here for a weather window to get to Venezuela – us amongst them. June 18, 2008, Chapter Seven – Antigua and Onward Hi Everyone, I can’t believe it’s been so long again – I try to write monthly but somehow it always seems to be two months. It is April 11, 2008 and we have just arrived in Jolly Harbour, Antigua and boy is it buggy in here. Our friend Mary arrived on Saturday as guest of Juergen on Caledonia – just a bit of match-making on my part; let’s hope it takes. Read Chapter Seven - Antigua and Onward...
April 11, 2008, Chapter Six - Puerto Rico and Beyond Well it has been over two months since our last newsletter and a lot has happened in that time. In the last newsletter we were in Culebra and heading for Puerto Rico. This Chapter covers the trip to Puerto Rico, the return to the BVI’s via Culebra and the USVI’s, and the eastward to St. Martin/Sint Maarten, St Barts (St. Barthelemy), St. Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat and finally to Antigua where we are now. January 30, 2008, Christmas was great – New Years was even better. We left Maho Bay in the USVI’s for New Years in the British Virgins – Trellis Bay. Apparently, that was the place to be, so we left extra early on Saturday to make sure we would get a mooring ball in this beautiful bay next to the airport on Tortola. Lee and Sharon on Allegro left earlier and said they would tie their dinghy to reserve a ball for us because the charter boats flock there at the best of times but on special occasions it’s like finding the last parking spot at the mall on Christmas Eve. No problems; we arrived early in the afternoon and the place started to fill up. On New Years Eve the scene was completely different...click here to read on.
January 27, 2008 After spending several weeks in the BVI's it is time to venture out and see new people and places. Our goal is to be in Puerto Rico some time in February and will be in a Marina while we tour and visit San Juan. We are currently in Charlotte Amalie (St. Thomas USVI) and will be here until Thursday January 24 and then we leave for Culebra.
January 13, 2008 I received a phone call from my parents yesterday. Was so nice to hear their voices. Sounds like they are continuing to be more relaxed everyday, I think they've actually lost track of the date. They're heading for USVI this week and possibly Porto Rico. Hope they send some updated pictures that I can add to the new photo gallery that is almost ready. I hope to have it ready sometime next week. Happy New Year, stay tuned for more info.
December 31, 2007 to everyone. Hope you had a great Christmas and all is well. We spent Christmas in Maho Bay (USVI) with a whole bunch of other cruisers including Liquid Courage. We are now back in Trellis bay for the New Years Eve Party.
